We are a non-profit gym. Our goal is not to make money, but to produce top-notch powerlifters (without the use of steroids). Some instructors/trainers from other gyms actually even enroll in Zest even if they already have free training privileges in their place of work!
Here are some of our accomplishments (Note: Poundages mentioned in this website are all official lifts done in official events, not “gym lifts” that anyone can easily exaggerate):
- The first Filipino to win any medal in the World Open Championships. In fact, the only Filipino to win a gold medal in the most prestigious championships.
- World Class Powerlifters! Several trainees qualified for the 2006, 2007 & 2008 World Open Championships. Zest has more qualified lifters than all other gyms combined.
- The only World Records!
- 19 official current World & Asian records!
- 7 Asian Best Lifter (MVP) Awards won
- Strongest Woman in the
- Strongest Man in the
- 66 Philippine Open Records! We have more Open records than ALL
other gyms (over 500 of them) in the entire
- 3 women benching over 150% of bodyweight (one of them without a bench shirt!)
- The youngest Filipino to qualify for both the Asian and World Open Championships.
- 2 World Special Olympics Gold Medals
- The only World Paralympics Medal!
- 11 Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) awards out of the all-time 13 given to Filipino powerlifters
- 34 of our trainees have qualified for the RP Open Team. We always have members in the National Powerlifting Team EVERY YEAR! Sometimes, the entire team is made up of Zest lifters only!
